Dr. Allison Porter grew up in Edmond, OK, and graduated from Edmond Memorial High School. Having been born and bred a Sooner, it was an easy decision to continue her education at the University of Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology and a Minor in Mathematics. After college, she volunteered with a dental team on a mission trip to Peru which solidified her decision to pursue dentistry. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) with Distinction in 2014 from the OU College of Dentistry. She has been practicing in Choctaw ever since!
Dr. Porter married her husband, Robert, in 2010 and they have four daughters – Hayden (2013), Avery (2015), Peyton (2017), and Marley (2020). Outside of dentistry you can often find her shuffling kids around to their activities, spending time with family and friends, reading when she gets a chance, and attending OU sporting events (especially football!).
Dr. Porter is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Oklahoma County Dental Association. Dr. Porter enjoys being a dentist because she gets to know and help her patients while enjoying the creative hands-on side of dentistry.
